Every year around this time, people begin looking for love—not just on a date with their significant other, but also in the Bible.
Love is the most searched-for word on the online Bible reference site in both English and Spanish for every year Bible Gateway has released the data. (A heart and a face with heart eyes are also high on the recently added emoji searches.)
Of the 100 most popular verses on Bible Gateway, 14—appropriately enough—directly reference love.

It is our hope that these Scripture quotes will help you understand God's love for you. He is not a ruling dictator in heaven looking to punish us when we do wrong. His love is characterized by grace, forgiveness, and is eternal, unconditional!
Discover the best Bible verses about God's love in this collection of scripture quotes! Let's say this prayer to thank God for his love today: Father, we praise You for Your consistency. Thank You that though we are incapable of being consistently good, loving and righteous, you are those things for us... Forgive us for our inconsistency, and bless us, that we may know Your love for us never changes. You are always loving, and for that we give thanks. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. (by Meg Bucher)
